Where has the time gone? Today is July 17, 2013 and it marks a very special day in my journey through this temporary home of life on earth. As I spent time this morning reflecting, I found myself in awe of how God orchestrates our lives to bring about His purpose.
Ten years ago today, I walked into an office with my name on it, looked around at the place God planted me to minister and fell in love with the people of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton Texas. In my years of corporate/secular jobs, ministry positions, and volunteer roles, I have never sustained a tenure of ten years in one place. I am immeasurably thankful for what God has done for me and my family in rooting us here.
So I found myself asking “Where has the time gone?”. And the Lord answered: It has been invested. I’m humbled and so looking forward to seeing what God has for another 10 years.
How long have you been planted where you are? Do you see your time as “invested” or has your time been wasted? What makes the difference between the two?
May God give you clear understanding of your call and your service today!
